Professional Duct Cleaning Service

It’s often overlooked, but the importance of regular dryer / ironer duct cleaning cannot be overstated. Ensuring that your ducting is inspected and cleaned regularly means that you will meet risk assessment standards, reduce fire risk and maintain peak efficiency of your drying operation.

Your tumble dryer ducting system is key to removing moisture and lint. During use, lint will start to build up inside the ducting and reduce airflow. This will increase your energy bills, extend drying time and cause technical issues with your dryer, including increasing the risk of having a fire.

Our engineers can visit you at your convenience to conduct a full inspection and clean of your dryer ducts to ensure that you remain compliant with existing fire safety regulations and improve your machine’s efficiency.

What you Need to Know

Gas Heated Equipment

If your machine is heated by natural gas or LPG it is essential that the ducting and appliance is inspected annually. The ducting on gas heated machines not only removes hot moist air but also the products of gas combustion. If the ducting is resticted or incorrectly designed the gas may not be able to fully combust which will generate carbon monoxide which could possibly spill back into the laundry room.

Legal Requirement

Under regulation 35 of the gas safety (installation and use) regulations 1998 it states:

This regulation requires an employer or self-employed person to ensure that any gas appliance, flue or installation pipework installed at a place of work they control is maintained in a safe condition.

What We Will Do

For a fixed fee we will clean the entire ducting run using specially designed brushes and high powered vacuum machines to remove the lint and dust. Once the ducting is in an as new condition our technician will carry out a check to ensure that the ducting is working efficiently and within the scope of the laundry equipment manufacturers designed specification. Once satisfied you will then be issued a certificate or advised if further works or improvements are required.

  • Visual inspection of the dryer ductwork.
  • Removal of lint and other debris from the ductwork.
  • Report of work carried out on dryer ducts and the issue of paperwork to assist with compliance.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states that you must carry out fire safety risk assessments and keep these up to date. This includes an inspection and assessment of the ductwork and performing maintenance as required to ensure that your laundry room is safe.
